UNCERTAIN GERMANIC TRIBES, Aurum Barbarorum. Late 3rd-early 4th centuries. 'Aureus' (Subaeratus, 19 mm, 2.01 g, 6 h), 'Plated Group'. Imitating Probus, 276-282. IIOOIIO - OИИHƧOIII Laureate and cuirassed imperial bust to right. Rev. II IZIΘ Θ / ΘZΘ Two male figures standing left and right; the one on the right holds a long scepter ending in a knot in his right hand; the one on the left holds a shorter scepter ending in a 'treetop' in his right hand and places an uncertain object on a tripod between them. Aurum Barbarorum II, 1913 (this coin). A very bright and attractive subaeratus. Holed and with some breaks in plating, otherwise, nearly extremely fine.
